Josh Lyons 3-Day Riding Clinic

Rider Level: Beginner – Advanced

Horse Level: Green – Advanced

During the course of this 3-Day Clinic you can expect that both horse and rider will learn foundation exercises, lessons, and principals covered in the conditioned response program offered at Lyons Legacy. Riders will first and foremost learn to effectively control their horse. No matter if you have been horseback for years or rode a horse years ago, all riders have the same common goal: to improve the level of control they have in regards to the horse they are riding. Lyons Legacy is here to help you reach that goal and take your horsemanship to the next level.

The cost of our 3- Day Clinic is $750 per horse and rider.

Auditors (Fence sitters) are always welcome for $25 per day.

Josh will cover multiple topics as determined by the goals of the riders participating in the Clinic. Our Clinics are kept small and intimate in an effort to not overlook any area of concern for each participant. Josh will work with you and your horse, no matter your riding level or discipline, working with you to make sure you achieve success during the Clinic.

5- Day Trainers Clinic

Josh designed our 5-day clinics for anyone actively riding and training their horse.

One of Josh’s greatest strengths is in taking a horse and rider team to the next level of performance, 

thru understanding the use and engagement of the horse’s body.

When you choose to participate in a 5-day clinic you can expect to learn new skills and exercises necessary to take back home to continue your training program. The amount of knowledge you will have at your disposal is literally boless, Josh will give you as much information as you want and is willing to work as hard as you are to achieve your goals. You and your equine partner will not only work hard but you are guaranteed to laugh and learn while finding your way to the goals you set for yourself. You can expect limited classroom time and lots of wet saddle blankets.

The cost of our 5-day clinics is $1000. Per rider, Auditors (fence sitters) are always welcome for $25 per day. Our clinics are not a competition, they are safe place to learn new innovative ways to effectively train your horse.

You can expect topics such as: Hip & Shoulder Control, Improved Seat & Hand Cues, Speed Control, Lead Departures, Collection & Frame, Stopping & Backing Up, and Various Problem Solving, Plus Much More!

The Josh Lyons Accreditation Program is designed for trainers and riders who are ready to take their training to the next level. This Program will equip you with the foundation and skills to become a professional rider and trainer. Josh has personally designed this program for those who already have a solid foundation with their training and are looking to take the next step in their equine education. It is structured to specifically target and refine the training techniques needed to go to the 

show pen or train higher level performance-based riders and clients.

Our students come from a diverse range of riding disciplines, including but not limited to reining, dressage, cutting, jumping, barrel racing, ranch horse versatility, ranch sorting, mounted shooting and or extreme trail riding. The Josh Lyons Accreditation Program is designed as a four-week hands on course, working personally with Josh, to obtain the skills necessary to reach your desired goals.

You will begin by preparing your horse with exercises to improve softness and collection imperative to performance. We then incorporate the higher-level performance elements that are essential to riders to be competitive in their chosen discipline.
